On the morning of June 10, the Hunan Science and Technology Innovation Award Conference was held in Changsha. Provincial Party Secretary Du Jiahao attended the conference and presented awards to the award-winning delegates. Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor Xu Dazhe delivered a speech. Before the meeting, Du Jiahao, Xu Dazhe and other provincial leaders cordially met with the provincial science and technology award winners.

The meeting commended the 2019 Hunan Science and Technology Award, "The  monk fruit new cultivar selection and Industrial chain development and  industrialization of the new generation of natural sweetener", which was  jointly completed by Hunan Huacheng Biological Resources Co., Ltd.,  Hunan Agricultural University and Huaihua Xingke Chuang Biotechnology  Co., Ltd., won the second prize of the 2019 Hunan Technology Invention  Award.

This project starts from all aspects of the whole industry chain of Luo  Han Guo, such as variety cultivation and screening, cultivation  technology model, separation and purification technology, healthy  product development, etc., to promote the transformation and upgrading  of the industry, and realizes the transformation of natural sweetener  Luo Han Guo industry to deep fashioning processing, high added value,  high technical content products.

Under the global sugar reduction trend, the new generation of natural  healthy zero calorie Monk Fruit sweetener has broad market prospects and  important economic and social value. The technical achievements of this  project mentioned the comprehensive promotion and application of  relevant food and beverage companies in Hunan Plant Extract Industries,  which will strongly enhance the level and market competitiveness of the  plant extract industry in Hunan, promote the continuous growth of the  export of plant extract in Hunan, further promote the development and  utilization of Luo Han Guo resources, and promote industrial  development and upgrades.
